my moms a chef and all and i love brazilian food way too much...
Rice, beans and two servings of veggies is my dinner most days. Lately since I've been doing the vegan thing I'll eat more tofu and indian food so it's changed some. This month has been an outlier since I've been having to eat at school since I'm a techie for the school play and I have to stay there till 7. So I've been eating some subway/pizza more often than normal.

some great pizza places around my school, here. also, i like the whole pita-sandwich-pick-your-own-toppings idea. i get the same sandwich every time and it's so crazy you wouldn't believe me, but i love it. it's kind of like a child to me. does this mean i love food too much, or should that be a whole different topic?

i don't eat out all that often though, because i love cooking at home. a busy kitchen is a good kitchen i always say, and with me working in it, it's always an adventure.

I spend alot of money on non home cooked meals lately. I work in a restaurant so I buy lunch and or dinner everyday. plus i am the worst cook alive. if it was possible, i could even burn water . i guess i can tollerate my own cooking, but i would never put anyone else through it. but the time has come to learn quickly, cause I have a trip to save for.

I try not to eat at McDonalds and other fast food places a lot...they are way too unhealthy. But sometimes the convenience factor steps in and I cave!
But I do eat at Subway a lot and don't feel guilty about eating there because its good for you.

I work too much and go out for lunch too often... that's why I eat so much junk... it doesn't really make sense considering I work at a gym.

I used to eat ONLY at tacobell in high school. It was so bad that my best friend and I had a pact that during high school all of our first dates we would take them to taco bell. If they didnt like it they could go screw themselves....
the good ole days....

I don't eat much fast food but Jake and I do eat out once or twice a week at regular restaurants. We found this great organic restaurant that has a huge vegetarian menu. We used to cook a lot together, but since we're living with his sister and her family, it's more difficult.

What? Who voted 200-400 bucks a month?! Show yourself!!!!!!!
No seriously, I can see MAYBE that much money eating out in general, but not JUST fast food (ie Burger King, Taco Bell, etc).
Myself I would say $20/month, which is too much for my liking and I am trying to cut back. Besides feeling guilty about it (hey, my bikini won't look good on its own!), those few bucks here and there add up.

I haven't eaten out in months! The only takeaway choices I have is the Chinese up town and their food is getting worse the more Irish they become. Or a Pizza place a ten mile drive to the next town, great pizza and not over priced.
I've taken to cooking all my meals now I don't even buy precooked stuff in the supermarket, not even readymade sauces. I try to make everything myself. It's easier than I thought too, the hardest part is getting it all to be ready at the same time.
I've started buying from the local Butcher and I saved a packet, 1/2Lb diced Lamd and 3 chicken tits (he gave me more than that I'd say) for €7! It's all local animals aswell I could probably go pick me sheep out the field too. The Lamb was lovely to, really tender.
My new moto is. Buy Local!
I haven't gone to the veg guy yet as I don't go through allot of it so buy frozen, should eat more veg I suppose.

Living in a dorm makes it rough but I try to use our on-campus take out stuff and eat as healthy as I can here. (It's rough when every entre is fried!) I'm definitely looking forward to moving out of the dorm next year just so I can cook for myself. Still, definitely try to avoid fast food, and I haven't eaten in more than 1-2 times a month since I saw "Supersize Me."

Well, with my constant travels, and an aversion to doing dishes, I tend to eat more fast food and eat out more often than actually cook for myself. I really enjoy cooking, but too often, I just don't bother cooking if it's just food for myself.
Combined, I probably spend $200 or more on eating out. When it comes to fast food, however, it's around the $100-$150 a month range. Thankfully, it doesn't cause me to gain weight or feel that unhealthy. By now, my body is adjusted to taking fuel from various sources.
Once I settle down again here in beautiful Nashville, TN...I'm sure I'll cook for myself all the time. As long as I have an automatic dishwasher

Well, i'll be honest, i'm in the $200 - $400 bracket. I have subway just about every lunch during the week, which is $11 for a foot long and a coke. So $11 * 5 * 4 = $220. Plus on weekends i never have the energy to cook for myself because i'm always out on my dirtbike for 5+ hours a day, i can hardly walk after that let alone cook. So, add another $30 a week to that, that puts me up to about $340 a month. However, i'm about to hit budget mode again to save for my next trip, so it's back to a diet of rice and bread for me.

Isn't it crazy to have to spend $11 on a sub and coke?? I used to get soooo irritated at the prices that Subway has the nerve to charge.
