Apparently there are two brands of the green stuff available here in the states! I'm gonna go find me a bottle as soon as I can! :D

I'm pretty sure its legal as long as it doesn't contain the thujone element or trace amounts anyway. Or did that change now too? I think I saw somewhere that Marilyn Manson was going to start selling some called Mansinthe or something lol.

I believe the new US allowance is up to 10mg of Thujone. You need something in the 20's for it to start being effective without it being masked by the drunkenness of the high alcohol level. In the Czech Republic, you can buy one called "Absinthe 35" that has a 35mg thujone level, which will fuck you up. The ones you can now legally buy in the US won't really have much effect other than getting you hammered.

However, you can buy absinthe distilling kits (with real wormwood) on ebay since they're not distilled and thus legal. Mix it w/ the now-legal absinthe and you may have a doozy on your hands!

Now if I could find some in Indiana. Although I hear of distributors in Florida that distribute it. So hopefully while I'm down there I can find a liquor mart with some.

Update, I did find some in Florida. But the $40 price tag turned me away. Granted I paid 40 dollars in the UK(exchange rate) for some, but still... Regardless, just wanted to confirm its been seen.

Good luck finding some though, there was only one bottle there.

FYI, I just bought a bottle of absinthe here in NC for this evening. It came with a sweet spoon and everything!! we'll see how it turns out. we're going o a free Eddie Money concert tonight so maybe it will be like a big 80s acid flashback! LOL
