Been studying up for a trip over there... these are supposed to be good:

Airlie Beach - Magnum's, Morocco's, Beaches

Townsville - Bank Niteclub, Playpen

Cairns - Tropos, Playpen Internationl. Check "Barfly" magazine for latest listings

ARLIE BEACH. what can I say, the whole town is happening.

Cairns, the wool shed. A typical ozzie bar, dancing on all the tables, definatley a good time.

Byron Bay, Definatley Cheeky Monkeys.

Brisbane, Down Under Bar.

[font=Impact]Cairns - Tropos Beware if you wear a kilt. The women enjoy checking for proper wear.

Townsville is such a good party town (or when it was when I was there!) They have an oxygen bar there on the main strip too. weird. The only name I can remember was the Mad cow (or something like it bar) bar. It had utters everywhere.. Lots of navy boys in that town. loooooooved it.

Cairns is a sweet party place. A good deal is to go on the pubcrawl. You'll find all their reps on the street during the day selling tickets. Then everyone meets at Gilligans hostel bar has a bbq and heads out on the town. Lots of prizes to be won. My friend won a reef trip! But it's a good deal cuz you get free drink tokens.

If anyone is heading to Melbourne make sure you head to the Espy. Awesome place for live music. It was my local pub. How lucky was I!
