i love the pixies... and do you know why?

i'll tell ya... cause it is the only song on Fight Club with lyrics and because it was such a well positioned song I got into the band only to find out they had broken up long ago.. but now they are back and as happening as tpunk! well ok maybe not that happening.. but you know what i mean...

wow, is it just me or do Kelis and Dido seem a little out of place on that lineup? Or at least Kelis does. LOL

heh guys just thought i would give a little update about v festival

after getting my hair cut and straightened (damn those natural curls) and then running round the house minus one UGG boot, hence the hair getting frizzy from the stress i finally made my way towards STAFFORD (hope that helps rozza) with the fab tunes of scissor sisters, athlete and keane giving me something to sing along to it takes about 2 and a half hours from Bristol to get to stafford so i was slightly worried about erecting the tent when ive never done this before and it was a dark night.... i should confess that i did not camp on site because one of the girls who was going had relatives living in a village called TONG which was meant to be within walking distance of WESTON PARK, and would have toilet facilities! After unloading the beer from the car boot and in to the fridge we decided to put the bbq on for a bit of warmth. After chatting to my friends and a bottle of vodka between the two of us it was still ass freezing cold. We decided to retire to our tents for the night....i dont think this beergal has ever been so cold in her life!...i had to run around the garden in my pj's just to warm myself up a little(where is smurgle when you need him and those cuddles he has been promising? hmm)

After finally getting about 3 hours solid sleep it was time to get up, actually i was woken up by a horse neighing and a dog peeing up the enterance of my tent! Thought it was about time to ask my friend Kay how long we were away in walking distance from the festival "not long" was her reply, fellow tpunkers i nearly died of shock when we saw the first road sign WESTON PARK 3 Miles, good job i had brought those beer bottles in my back pack. 1 hour later and we came across the artists enterance, me being slightly tipsy by now thought it would be a good idea to go up to the security guard and start singing 99 green bottles (well i did have the props) and pretend i was the artistst BEERGAL, unfortunately this didnt work...20 mins later we arrive at the gate of Weston Park "yay, it cant be that much longer to the stage" HOW WRONG COULD I BE it was another 20 mins of walking.

Well what can i say about the bands on the first day.....starsailor were just fab and scissor sisters rocked the place out with the strokes providing great entertainment for the last act on the main stage

What shall i tell you about weston park on the first day.... the toilets exploded and i ended up wading through 5 inches of human poo (ah festival experiences)

The walk home was nothing but a shock to the nervous system with just one torch between four of us...until we got to the artists enterance and manadged to flag down an open backed trailor and manadged to get a ride back to tong

Day 2 was just brill with faithless, athlete, dido and muse although i was very disappointed by keane (just hope they improve when i see them in oct in berlin)
The poo was still there
Oh and i appeared to have my harry potter invisability cloak on throughout the last hour after some guy decided to knee me in the back then the shoulder and then the face as he tripped over me i would have been in so much pain if i wasnt dying with laughter, then there was another guy who thought he would elbow me in the face as he was dancilng like a madman....

oh this didnt turn out to be so little did it.....ha ha

Awesome!

And remember: A festival just isn't a festival unless you trudge through poo. (It's true!)
