Street Parade in Zurich

So it looks like I might be traveling through Zurich on the day of the Street Parade. This looks to be like a big giant moving rave...Now this is generally not my style as I am much more of a stoner then a raver... ...Does anyone know much about this event? Is it worth stopping by to check out? Or should I just head to Interlaken via Basel instead?

I'll be in Switzerland some time this summer, but too early to attend the parade. I would have loved to watch this ! Looks like a sea of people !
