The Presets CSD Berlin 23 June
Ok here's the deal. I'm totally psyched because I just found out one of my favorite Aussie bands The Presets are playing in Belgium and Germany while I'm over there. :)
There is however a small catch, I can't make it to two of the three dates they're playing and the other one is in Berlin as part of the 'Christopher Street Day' festival which is a gay and lesbian pride march. Just to clear things up I am a heterosexual male and I'm not a homophobe, so at the moment I'm thinking a party is a party and I don't want to miss this gig. it also fits in perfectly with my Chemical Brothers concert a week later in A'dam. Anyone have any experience with this festival? Or any general advice? |
I guess this was too controversial for anyone to touch.
I've decided that if I'm in the area I'll go, but won't delay my trip for it. |

I say you should go. If it's really one of your favourite bands. And hey, it makes an awesome random travel story! One more thing for people to get annoyed about when you get back... everytime you try to have a normal conversation, somehow you end up mentioning somewhere you've been. "Oh the presets, last time I saw them was in a gay pride parade in berlin" That is fair awesome. To really clinch it, you should go in drag.:) But yeah, if you're going to be in Berlin anyway.... you'll definitely find heaps to do there, it's a great city, great history. Kind of random and spread out, there's no real 'city centre' because the city was divided for so long by the wall. |
