I am going to be in london alone for a couple of days and i was wondering if you can help me out?

I am wondering where is the best nightclubs or Pubs to go to for someone that is going Solo? Is their any that will make a person going out alone feel more welcome? Is their any bars that aren't "territorial" Last thing i want to do is walk into a pub and have everyone turn and stare at me because i am a stranger?

So what place is the best?

I'm sure this doesn't answer your question, but there is a really cool movie theatre somewhere in London. They play up-to-date movies and while you watch a movie you relax in a recliner and drink beer!

Benifits: No sharing a arm rest with the freaky guy next to you

Downside: It's expensive.

If you interested I can try to get the name from a friend who went

Just hook up with folks at the hostel and head out for the night!

Where are you staying? I can try to think up places for the neighborhood if I'm familiar with it. London's a big place.

Overall, I've never had a problem doing it up alone there. I either meet up with folks at the hostel, or go to a more low-key pub, sit at the bar, and start talking to the people around me. One of the best places for the latter is the French House in Soho. It's so small, you're forced to make friends with the people who've got their elbows in your ribs.

Are you talking about the Odeon in Leicester Square? Cos it's nice, but sooooo expensive! You can get regular old seats for a cheaper price (but still way too much in my opinion), but where's the fun in that? It's where they hold all the film premieres over here, so it's a pretty good cinema.

I have a friend who buys box wine and takes it out of the box and sticks the bag in her purse. She brings along a few cups and gets drunk off of wine! Great way to go!!

Depends what sort of scene you like. If you want busy and party party party and want to be close to Picadilly, there's the Generator.

If you want a standard backpacker haven surrounded with enough cheap(ish) places to eat/shop/drink, Bayswater is the neighborhood. It's close to Hyde Park, Notting Hill, and just a short hop away from Oxford St. and all the big central stuff.

For a little more seedy but interesting, there's the Kings Cross area, which puts you in striking distance of a lot of nightclubs and cheap eats.

Wherever you go, there are going to be cool places to hit up, and if not, pretty much everything is accessible by tube. (Or nightbus or taxi for the way back if you stay out past midnight...)

Thumbs up The Camden Pub Crawl!!!

You really can't go past the Camden Pub Crawl for an awesome night out!
I've been on it a few times already on my travels. Really can't get enough of it! I keep coming back,

You start off at a place called The Wheelbarrow (a local camden favourite, or so I'm told), we got our free shot (one of four) and grabbed a drink. There was a bit of live music there towards the end which was cool. Then we moved on to Belushi's across the road; really cheap drinks and a shot of Sambucca (put some lime on top!). They had open mic going on there, I had a bit of a sing, really fun stuff. We then hit a place called the Blues Kitchen - really good live music venue with some great blues and jazz bands hitting the stage. I grabbed the local brew, Camden Hell; it's a good drop. From there it was to a sweet venue called Barfly - really cool rock n roll vibes going on there and it's a pretty famous London venue too. After that it was on the the final destination, Proud Camden. This place is sweet! It's an old Horse hospital that was converted into a club with stables turned into party booths!

Pretty sure that's the usual route, but when I went on a Friday (it was a massive group!) we ended up at a place called KOKO; now that is an awesome place; an old theatre converted into a night club/music venue. Only in London!
Oh and Saturday goes to a place called Monarch were they have this night featuring Soundtrack music and cool 50-60's vibes.

Like I said, I've been on this a lot!

You should have mentioned the exact area so that it was easier to suggest. Pacha and JoJo are two famous clubs I often visit. They would make You feel comfortable.
