Default 3 months... anywhere with jobs

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I posted here (not since my Europe 2006 backpacking trip), but now that I've found more time to travel again I could use some suggestions.

First a bit of background for context, and I'll try to keep this short and not sounding like a promotional pitch :D: I recently quit my job of 3 years to join the cast of a small documentary project called Jet Set Zero. The project is episodic, with each 'season' taking place over a 3 month span and centered on a given city where we attempt to live, work, and experience life as locals. So far this has included Seattle, where the project started with the team working 3 months of minimum wage jobs to entirely fund their travels, then on to Ho Chi Minh City, Tokyo, and now Seoul.

At the moment, we're wrapping things up in Seoul and researching our next destination. The current top picks are Istanbul, Turkey and Buenos Aires, Argentina. We're need to finalize on a destination ASAP, so I was curious if anyone has any experience with living/working in those two cities, or if you've got suggestions for a city that might suit us better. Our only restrictions are:
  • Jobs - We need to be able to get jobs for 3 college educated Americans and a Canadian. We'll do pretty much anything that pays the bills, though up until now it's mostly been ESL (none of us have ESL certifications though)
  • Cost of living - the lower the better :-)
  • Ability to film with relative freedom.
