Default Fill in the Blank!

Here's my itinerary so far, any advice on things to do during my empty dates?

June 11: Arrive London at 7am! (stay at Picadilly Hostel)
June 12: Day in London visiting as many museums and free tourist shit possible! (stay at Picadilly Hostel)

June 13:
June 14:
June 15:
June 16:
June 17:
June 18:
June 19:

June 20-23: Nottingham (visiting friend)
June 24-25: Adventures with friend, maybe Stonehenge, camping.

June 26: Paris!
June 27: Paris!
June 28: Return to London
June 29: Fly Home

Things I'd like to see with my empty days: Oxford and Tintern Abbey.

Any recommendations? I really enjoy FREE stuff (who doesn't?), but also historical sights especially those connected to literature. This was originally supposed to be a research trip for my Undergrad thesis on William Golding... that didn't last long.

I also like hiking so I was thinking about going to Snowdon. Is there an easy way to get to this area? Is it ok to hike alone in the area? I'm not a super experienced hike, but since I'll be having my tonsils and adenoids removed the month before this trip I'm looking forward to being able to BREATHE while I hike!!! Is there a cheap hostel or anything here where I might be able to meet people to hike with?

Anyway, any and all advice would be great. Where are the best hiking trails, the best beer, the coolest ruins, the most interesting people? And what are the best ways to get there?

Although it wouldn't take the whole time. Stratford-upon-Avon is where Shakespeare was born and lived. I can't remember all the details, and personally could give a care less about his writings(no offense). Regardless I think his wife, Anne Hathway? Her house is near there. His house is in the heart of the city if I remember correctly.

I believe these aren't free, but the city was really nice and small. The pubs were full of locals. It was rather enjoyable.

Otherwise check out Oxford, Cambridge, York. I mean if you have the time and funds I would say head up to Liverpool and Newcastle. Two of my favorites, but getting there isn't so cheap.

Also you could consider Scotland. Edinburgh is amazing.
