lockers/baggage storage in nyc?

we are staying in nyc for only one night and need somewhere to store our baggage/shopping purchases when we go out to a club at night....

is it worth it to get a cheapy room or does anyone know where there are lockers/baggage storage anywhere downtown??

well, we are coming in by bus to the city, and the bus station doensn't do baggage storage anymore.

going all the way to the airport would be waaaay out of our way

In the Big Apple, you will be ahrd pressed to find lockers in any un-secure area...they were all removed after 9/11 for ovious reasons...Lockers can be used to hind nastly little things called bombs! I think your best bet will be to get a room for the night, the last thing you need is your stuff being blown up because some rookie cop thinks he hears ticking!

Get a room...
