I finally made the trip down to New York City, and man what a time!!! I met TONS of great people while I was there, and its nothing like what the movies show, crabby people everywhere...everyone was fantastic!!!

I got a great hotel ( Red Roof Inn ) room for $90 a night 2 blocks from Times Square, I walked all over the place, the transit was a good price and the cabs were not as bad as I thought the would be, ( just make sure the dont make a "wrong turn" on ya)

The food was amazing, and the things to see are endless.

So iI did not really rough it this trip, but it was fun just the same. I think there is a difference in sleeping in a ditch in a communist country, and sleeping in an alley in NYC...LOL

I LOVE NEW YORK!!!! :D

haha good stuff, Os-killa!

I´ve never been to NYC, but it looks like so much fun.
Yeah, it´s wierd, my vision of NYC is a background setting that is a cross between "Sex in the City" "Friends" and "The Warriors(old famous early 80´s gang flick )."

I can´t mentally picture grass there. The people seem very direct, which can come across as rude , and I hear that everything is just way too expensive.
But, I think that I must pull the trigger soon and see NYC for myself (I have 3 cousins that live there! free lodging :D ) I´m sure it is an amazing place!
