Thanks to New Yorkers
 

So I just got back last night from a week in New York City and surrounding areas. Even though I'm still pretty wiped I had to toss a few "thank you's" out to some random strangers. I had been there before, and even though this time I was with a friend we decided to do everything basically on our own in regards to finding our way.

We were stuck in some pretty bad situations late at night and early in the morning and if it wasn't for people like the Vietnamese lady in Jackson Heights showing us where to get off the buses. Or the City police in Queens getting us to Long Island. Or the couple next to us at the hockey game offering a ride back to manhattan, we probably would still be there right now.

Its all stuff we can laugh about now, but if it wasn't for the help of a lot of people we could have been left in some seriously tough situations. So thanks again. peace.

Sounds about right. New Yorkers are far more friendly and helpful than they're portrayed on TV and in movies, etc.
