Trip to Boston (Mansfield)

Hey, I'm going to be going to Boston the 15th of September with a friend to
attend a concert...

the concert's going to be in this city called Mansfield about 30mi. south of
Boston in what I believe would be the suburbs. After the concert, we're
going to have to walk for about 30min. to get back to our hotel room. I'm
assuming Boston is a fairly safe city, but I wanna be sure we'll be ok. Does
anybody have any idea what kind of city Mansfield is and if its safe to walk
around at night ?

Hey Sean - I don't think you will have any trouble in Mansfield. It's really just a suburb area and quite a ways outside of Boston. I have been to several concerts there, and while I didn't walk around the area much, it seemed rather tame from what I could see. The Tweeter Center there is a decent outdoor facility, enjoy the show. Who are you going to see?

Hey Sean, if you guys need a ride let me know cause I live one town away from Mansfield. Also, depending on what time of the day the concert is, there is a commuter rail (train) from Mansfield to Boston. I think it may cost you 3.50 one way. If you want me to drive you, let me know how many people I have to take. If there is more than 4, it may be difficult.

In regards to Mansfield, the town is a bedroom community of commuters. It has the largest population per capita under the age of 18. There is no reason to carry a sidearm with you unless you have a fear of serious preppy kids. Many players from the New England Patriots live in that town.

Mansfield is like the middle of the woods. hehe. I think it is very safe to say you will be just fine walking around there.

You could walk around there flashing 100's and probably be fine hehe.
