Has anyone done Slovenia solo before? I'm 90% sure I will be there for 4-5 days last week of October during my fall break in Prague. I decided to break away from everyone else in my program who are holding hands in groups of 5-15 for their trips. How are the locals? What kind of traveling crowd does Beld, or Slovenia and general attract? Anyone climb Mount Triglav? Any word on Penzion Bledec Youth Hostel? Really looking forward to spending time in the Alps, and my first solo trek. Thanks
Kurt

i went to Ljubijana didnt make it to Bled... But slovenians are really nice, and the women are some of the sexiest around. its terms of the people slovenia attracts.... same as most other places... backpackers, old pakaged tourist people from italy germany etc etc.. same goes for bled id guess...Ljubijana is worth the visit such a laid back place with cool people

Congrats on making the solo decision. I haven't been to Slovenia, but have enjoyed other countries in the region and I'm sure you'll have a fantastic experience.

I would very seriously consider going to Slovenia and Lake Bled. From Ljubljana it only takes about an hour to get their and cost around 6 US Dollars each way. For one, Ljubljana was probably my favorite capital city out of the 18 capitals I visited this past summer (although possibly tied with Paris) and Lake Bled is one of the most beautiful sights I’ve seen. If you do decide to go, definitely go to the top of the mountain and check out the castle and the views that if offers, unbelievable.
