Gatwick North? Gatwick South?

I'm tryin to figure out my best way from central London to Ireland(anywhere in Ireland will do) and I am running into a ton of problems. I am trying to do this as cheaply as possible and found buses to Gatwick(thanx to SV) and easyjet flights from there...but what is the difference between Gatwick South and North? It was something like a 14 pound difference in bus fare...and how do I know from which I fly? Damn I'm confused!

North and South are the 2 different terminals.
