travel from Spain to Morocco

Hi! I have a guestion about going from Spain to Morocco.
Can only EU nationals use the tarifa ferries? I am Canadian and I understand that I have to take the ferry from Algeciras. Does this still hold true? Does anyone know the timetables for crossing? Thank-you for your help.

I don't think that the tarifa ferries are limited to only EU nationals. I could be wrong, but I believe that a passport and a visa (if required) is all you need.

Hey Moosebee! I haven't been to Morocco myself, but when I was at the Oasis Hostel in Granada, there were a whole bunch of people who had just been to or where about to go to Morocco, by heading South to Algeciras. B/c Morocco can be tough on your senses, they seemed to use Granada as a docking/resting point before/after their trip to Morocco. I was thinking that if you really want to find out, you may want to shoot an email to Oasis, and inquire them about the whole Tarifa-Algeciras question you have. Good luck!

I made this same trip (Algecirca to Tangier Morocco) around 2 weeks ago. The ferry leaves pretty regularly like every hour or so. There are two ferries one that is fast that takes 30 minutes and the other which is more slower around two hours. Hope this helps.
