Cheapest places to fly into Europe from Canada
Hey everyone,
Where's the cheapest place in Europe besides London to fly into from Ottawa, TOronto or Montreal?
Is there any place lower than london or comparable!
I want to go to running of the bulls directly or eastern europe directly, but flying into Madrid will be murder and it seems the more east the city is, the momre expensive it is.

I'd guess most likely Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Air France's hub is Paris, NW Airlines' hub is Amsterdam, and Lufthansa's hub is Frankfurt. You may also want to check SAS, their hub is Copenhagen. You could also consider flying into London and catching a cheapo flight from there to either Barcelona or Madrid and then a train to Pamplona.

air transat flight into frankfurt was the cheapest i found. booking a couple of months in advance i got a flight into frankfurt from toronto on air transat for 850 canadian at the height of tourist season - end of july. but make sure the destination is frankfurt and not frankfurt-hahn. it's a tiny little airport nowhere near frankfurt. i don't know if they do flights from overseas, but i had to rush out there to get a ryanair flight to dublin, which i thought was from the regular frankfurt airport. frankfurt isn't much in terms of a travel destination, but it's a cheap place to fly into. enjoy the trip.

Are you completely against the UK or just dont like heathrow? Because Glasgow can be dirt cheap. I know that air canada is having a sale right now for like $49 (plus taxes); either way it's a good deal. Otherwise, Paris is usually the cheapest I believe.

all these amazing deals that seem too good to be true are usually not for travel during the peak travel season i.e. july, august. plus taxes after the fact add a ton to the cost, sometimes more than twice the cost of the advertised price. sneaky advertisers.

I find travelcuts can have some really good deals (that's where I got the glascow one btw, it's for april)...also try to book your flight for a tuesday that's the cheapest day...

Try Zoom airlines: http://www.flyzoom.com/
I'm getting an Ottawa to Glasgow for $300 after taxes. Not bad considering what Air Canada and other companies are offering. Air Transat also offers some fairly cheap flights although I haven't found anything lower than $300.
