sO I am stuck in Italy- not a bad place to be stuck, but I've got to get home in late June early July, and I HAVE to save as much money as possible on plane tix, got school to pay for in the fall.
At this point, I am open to anything from a boat to a small raft...
does anybody have any tips on getting from Europe to Cali cheaply?????????
I am flexible on dates and open to any kind of adventure, so dont hold anything back cause you think its too sketchy hahahhahahahahha
ok thanks
Cam
ps, if I dont get any good ideas I am going to try this airhitch thing that I wrote about in that planes trains etc section....yikes

Well, I dunno about the exact cost of fares, the big airlines are all a rip off, and I just don't know what charter airlines operate out of the US. The cheapest one I saw was $1041 @ expedia.com

BUT...

An idea for ya that might help you save some $$$ Find the cheapest flight into the US, I mean Anywhere in the US, then consider taking a bus or train to your final destination, this could save you a wack of dough, or not, just check this option before you over spend.

Fly middle of the week, like on a Tuesday. Least crowded travel day of all. And check out the low cost carriers...sign on to the big carriers e-mail updates (you put in a few city destinations and they e-mail you sales regularly). Check out with the local student travel office and see if they have names of ticket consolidators who might still have some cheapies...

Good luck!
