Sorry to be such a posting whore...
But what can people tell me about courier flights? Do you have experience with them? I know next to nothing, so all the information I can get would be greatly appreciated!

For me, they seem to be like the $98 Porsche, everyone knows the story, but nobody seems to know it first hand.... (my cousin's brother's sister's best friend's mom once took one, once...)

I took a courier flight from NYC to Bangkok (layover in Japan) over Christmas and New Years this year. I went through Jupiter Air: http://www.jupiterair.com/courier/download.html

Everything was great and I ended up paying $500 for a roudtrip ticket.

here's a real definition

What is courier travel?
Courier companies often find that shipping material in the luggage space of an aircraft passenger is more reliable, timely, and economical than sending the shipment unaccompanied because it allows the shipment to bypass many of the typical customs delays. The courier company begins by purchasing a coach class airfare. They then resell the ticket to you and, in exchange for your luggage space, give you a discount on the airfare. The courier company uses your luggage space for the material it is shipping.

i have found some websites for it. i will get them in a few mins and repost. hope this helps!

pretty much all the same!

well they are all a little different and offer fares that are WAY WAY below listed ticket prices. you must be flexible to fly as a courier though but i hope these sites help!

good luck!
