I am set to leave for Europe in a few days, and their was a mix up with a train ticket from London Liverpool Street to Harwich International, so I am kind of at a loss for what to do.

Does anybody know if it is possible to get a one-way ticket from London Liverpool St. to Harwich International at a ticketing station in London within a few days of making the trip? And, if so, where should I go to get the ticket?

Thanks in advance.

i looked it up on the net, there doesnt appear to be any special offers or anything but you can get a "STANDARD DAY SINGLE" for £21.50. Return would prob be about the same price.

Youd be able to buy this from any staffed train station in the uk either on the day or before hand. Best bet is just to go to the station.

Just go and buy the ticket at Liverpool Street Station on the day, it'll be fine.

Be careful with http://www.thetrainline.co.uk/ it's hard to get tickets if you aren't at an address in the UK (requires a UK postal code, even though you can pick a non UK country... strange)

its still handy for getting an idea of times and to see what types of tickets are available before you go to the station, the staff wont always tell you if a cheaper ticket is available at a different time or service. Some of them can be helpful though.

Definitely agree on using www.thetrainline.com for ideas on train times/prices. i use it all the time in the UK, though i know they need a UK address to mail the ticket too. with a debit or credit card u can actually pick up the tickets you book in advance at the station- if you select 'collect from the 'fast ticket' machine- (select the station your travelling from and it'll give you a code that you have to put into the machine when you get there). (probs also beat the queues too).

But a "standard day ticket" should be the same price they sell at the desk on the day, if you don't want to risk it.
