From Scotland (which is a country) to Amsterdam (which is a city), the only low-cost carrier I see flying directly is easyJet. They fly Edinburgh to Amsterdam.
Check them out at www.easyjet.com

Hope this helps.

Yup.. from Edinburgh it'll have to be EasyJet.

From Glasgow, you should look into FlyGlobespan and Transavia

Thanks for the suggestions, omi. I can't even keep track of all the budget intra-Europe airlines.

www.attitudetravel.com has links to most (if not all) European low-cost carriers. It really does make things go faster and easier!

I've flown Transavia which is very cheap and pretty good as far as discount airlines go. They're based outta The Netherlands and fly from Glasgow to Amsterdam for £12 each way.

Yeah, Transavia's very nice. I've flown 'em twice and for a budget, they're up there. And they serve Dutch food on their buy-onboard menu
