so i know that i need to get from Rome to London by the 22nd of May. My friend and i were thinking we'd take the eurorail (we have the selectpass) from Rome to Paris overnight then the chunnel from Paris to London on the morning of the 22nd. My concern is that the train from Rome to paris will get booked up by the time we get there. there is only one train that leaves on the night of the 21st from rome to paris. am i being worried for nothing? i'm sure we'll try and reserve our seats from rome to paris when we arrive in rome, but that is only a couple days before we need to leave. any suggestions? am i freaking out for nothing? any other suggestions for travel from rome to london?
Thanks! Jesse |
EasyJet has routes from Rome to London. It would be a hell of a lot faster!!

thanks for the reply, the flight is kinda pricey for that day, but i think we're going to opt for the flight instead!
have you traveled easyjet before? is it pretty reliable? |
try ryanair.com as well

I've flown EasyJet and RyanAir. They're fine. RyanAir tends to have routes at out-of-the-way airports more than EasyJet. In the case of Rome, however, they both fly out of the same airport-- so make sure you check RyanAir, they probably have a cheaper fare than EasyJet for the day you want to leave! :)
Beware that you will be flying into London's Luton or Stansted airports and you'll need to get into the city from there, and you can't take the Tube. From Stansted you can take the Stansted Express train, but it's pretty expensive. I recommend booking a seat on a coach instead, there are TONS of them all day long going to the city center and you may score one of the special internet rates of 1 pound. (It's not expensive even if you don't get that rate.) :) Check out National Express. Good luck! |
