Hi there! In 2000 I used a thing called American Pass or Ameripass for short (one of the discovery passes available), for U$249 I had unlimited travel for 30 days, it was awesome, when you have the pass they consider that you have "booked" tickets so you get to go first in the lines, and using it was as easy as flashing the pass at the bus station to the driver and getting in the bus, it was so worth it!! I visited 30 states!!!! As far as I know there are no limitations as far as destinations, where Greyhound goes your pass will be fine, I even went all the way to Canada from New York using my pass and everything was fine, the only down side is that once you validate the pass then you have to use it within that time frame (counted calendar days and not actual travel days), for example mine was valid from April 15th through May 15th so within that period I could hop on any Greyhound bus and go just about anywhere!
