a friend of mine went to archaeology field school in Belize. Her flight ($600 on AA, which I know how you feel about them, lol) was from Seattle - DFW - Miami - Belize City. You might want to try looking for flights directly to Belize from Texas or Florida, if you can get a cheapie ticket from Chicago to there. Hope that helps!!

ok I don't know if this might help but I figured it doesn't hurt....
By browsing thousands of places I found these websites and they are very well worth looking into:

economytravel.com
expedia.com
lowestfare.com
priceline.com
cheaptickets.com (try their "non-specific dates")
orbitz.com
1800flyEurope.com (not too impressed)
studentuniverse.com (I'm impressed!)
statravel.com (can have some good deals)
bestfares.com
skyauction.com (impressive, I doubt they're really true)
airhitch.com (this one might not be too much of interest but check it out...)
airfare.com (I thought it was pretty good)

oopss. and also I forgot to mention that you might wanna check into arriving in London for example and then taking Easyjet or RyanAir, that might save you big bucks if time is not of concern here....

unfortunately, although it would be totally awesome, EasyJet and RyanAir do not operate outside of Europe, and SD is looking for flights to Central America. I wish we had something like that here though! How f'in cool would THAT be??? sigh.

hey thanx guys. i checked out student universe. it was really helpful. the cheapest ticket i could find was just under $700 bucks though. i'll keep looking though. you'd think that since it's on the same continent, it would be cheaper than flights to europe.

thanx for the help though.

My Gosh!! My biggest mistake, I'm so eager to go to Europe that I was thinking about BERLIN (Germany) and not BELIZE, my mistake....
