I'm having trouble finding a place that will post the travel times.
Basically, how long does it take to get from place to place.

for example
Frankfurt to Caen, France?
Frankfurt to Prague?
Prague to Berlin??
But those are just for me.

I need to know what train rides will take up enough time where I can sleep and won't have to stay in a hostel.

Well, normally there are three types of trains in Europe:

Intercity (IC): These are the fastest and normally go only from large city to large city. Airplane style seating, often, and usually most expensive.

Rapido: Ones that don't stop in every podunk town, and get there at a reasonable clip.

Ordinary: Stop at virtually every town they pass through. Still, a scenic and pleasant journey...just long. Usually slower than bus travel.

So, it would depend on which route you're looking at. There are some websites that actually list the departure and arrival times...I'll hunt and see if I can find them.

Anybody else have a link handy?

Don't worry about the trains, thats the least of your problems. All the train stations I've been to so far are easy to figure out. Just follow the signs and pay attention!!

If you can't figure out how to get somewhere ask the Eurohelp(sp?) desk. They speak perfect english and can get you anywhere!

To get from Frankfurt to Prauge you'll most likely have to connect thru Munich, or atleast pass through it.
