Default Take with a grain of salt...

Read this a few days ago. As I live in Taiwan, I hear a lot about China Air. While they are far from my favorite (and I think EVA is rated very highly on that, and I do prefer them), they have improved over the years. I believe many of their problems were in the 20-30 years ago time frame, and not the most recent 10 years. A few of the highly ranked airlines are also fairly new, and a few of them, if memory serves me correctly, are younger than the 30 year time span that the survey includes.

Still pretty interesting info though.
