According to one-way to MGA? | Nicaragua Living the answer seems to be that US citizens cannot fly on a one way ticket unless they are immigrating in which case they need to complete their Rentista program. This seems to be the general feeling although 1 guy said they were able to do with no problem-for what its worth he said he flew Continental. Also, I read that Taca are not strict either.
I hope this helps.

hmmmmm, it seems to be a crap shoot, but the price diff isnt that bad anyway. Now Im curious, if I buy a roundtrip to Managua, upon arrival, could I get a refund on the return ticket by telling them i decided to go into C.R. and fly back to the U.S. from San Jose. Or something along that line???

That depends on the fares rules of the ticket you're flying on. In general for discount coach tickets you can't get a refund, although you may be able to pay fee and then apply the funds towards a future ticket. But you can usually only get a refund on a full fare ticket which are quite expensive compared to the fares that pull up on expedia and kayak and whatnot.

Cool, kinda figured that too, just trying to way all the options and spend as LITTLE as possible on my flight. Been looking at flying out of Charlotte or Atlanta.... If Miami wasnt so damn far from me, i could get a fare for $142..... including taxes/fees....
