Default Finding cheap trans-atlantic flights ¿¿??

Alright so I am probably doing the last legs of my current journey. Right now I am in Barcelona and am looking to get back to Canada relatively soon, as in Nov 4 to 15th or something. Having been over here in Europe and North Afrika for months, I have grown accustomed to finding budget ways to get around. However, finding cheap transatlantic flights is something that I am not adept at.

Basically I would like to fly over to either Montreal or Halifax or Calgary-Edmonton. I am not ruling out flying to Boston-NY as I can bus to Montreal for $100.

Should I try and get from Barcelona to a more connected airway like Heathrow or Paris Degaulle and then finding an option to Canada?

Ive tried Canadian Affair and Air Canada and have not been overly pleased with my options. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Get to the Uk and fly air transat. They are having disgustingly cheap sales right now. It's always more expensive flying out of places like spain and greece. You can also usually get pretty cheap flights out of Frankfurt if thats somewhere you feel like hitting up. For example you can get to T.Dot, Hali, Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Fredricton or Ottawa from London Gatwick. There are other options from other airports but destination s are selective and usually consist of well Toronto but its always cheaper to fly to Toronto. Good Luck :D

AT doesn´t fly from Europe to Canada, and its reverse carrier (canadian affair) has limited options.
Thanks anyways!

I can do Barcelona to MTL for $730 or else Barcelona to Bostom for $440. Or else I can fly Barcelona>London($100)>Toronto($350) = $450, so that is what it is lookin like now. Sadly to get to Halifax I would have to sell some fillings and internal organs ($2000 plus plus plus).

Hmmmmm.

www.farecompare.com

That's the best website for finding flights. They scan tons of websites for you so you don't have to do all the leg work. I quickly checked barcelona to montreal on November 12th. The flight including all taxes is $554. It has two stops (dublin and Boston) but whatever! I also checked for Halifax and it says it's $554 USD as well. See below. Happy Selecting :D

Air Transat has a route from London to Vancouver. Maybe to other canadian cities as well. They fly out of Gatwick so make sure you're not only searching heathrow!

Also look for Lufthansa flights. You'll have to either get to frankfurt or connect through there.

You could also look for flights to Seattle or Detroit and then try to get a ride into canada.

Air Transat do fly from Europe to Canada. It offers flights from Paris, London, Glasgow, Barcelona, Frankfurt (and more european cities) to Montreal, Toronto, Calgary. They often have interesting last minute deals.

The link.

For example, I saw Paris-Montreal on November 11th for 341,51 € and Glasgow-Toronto on the 12th for GBP 149.00 all taxes included.

Good luck
