Default Overnight Amsterdam - London

Is it safe to travel overnight on the Euroline from Amsterdam to London?

I've heard stories of backpacks being stolen from the luggage when the bus stops to pick up new passengers and since the purpose of an overnight would be to sleep, I wouldn't be able to keep an eye out on my bags every time we stop...

However, I had no problem doing this travelling overnight from Toronto to New York City...haha, so I guess it's probably fine, but just wanted to check out the situation before I went ahead and did it!

Thanks for any replies!

Being aware of your gear on overnite trains in EU is never a bad idea. I use a small bicycle chain and small locks for the zippers. Just seeing locks will sometimes deter. And if you use the chain to attach the gear together or to something, that slows the grab and go. I'm a better safe than sorry type.....

Agree with everything said. The best solution to the problem of theft is for it not to occur at all. Deterrence. I'd add keep your valuables close to you. Sleep with your stuff in your pockets.

Other than that, why are you taking the night bus? Night buses are tortureeeeee. Was there a really good fare?
