Has anyone done this?
I am a Canadian citizen, is it possible? Would it be a pain in the ass with parking and whatnot?

ive never done it , but i know its common for backpackers to do this in new zealand and australia. but id say theres alot more parking aound here hah.
i had a freind who hired a campervan for about 2 months and drove over europe....maybe you could find a cheap camper? then youd save on hostels too...although, it would be pretty fucking boring and lonely without them.

So I'm guessing people just don't register/insure cars when they do this? I don't know if it's different other places but usually in the US you need to be a resident of the state to register. At least where I am you need a state driver's license to get registered.
I guess that works fine, they'll have a hard time collecting on tickets from someone in another country...
Just like the US, it would probably be a pain to park in major cities in Europe. Even to just park for the day, it's really expensive. You might be able to get away with getting a car and driving all over the place, but unless you want to go to really obscure places, public transportation seems to be your best bet.
