For those of you that have use easyjet before, you know that baggage and baggage weight is an issue and its one of the things that they get you on but charging you for each kilo over their limit, do you know if they actually weight carry ons as well?
What Im getting at is this: I have one back pack that is close to the limit. its withing 3 lbs or so. However, Im carrying a small over-the-shoulder bag that Im using for my around town bag. This will go in my pack normally, but Ill fly with it.. and i can put a couple of the heavier things in there and it will clear me weight wise... but if they make me put everything on the scale, I might be over... any advice on how to handle this? (By the way, Ima bout as thin as I can go on stuff... Im a very careful packer... 45lbs is my limit though)..

They're very strict on the weight of the bag you check-in to the hold, but only really concerned with the size of your carry-on, unless you let slip it's heavy and then they may weigh it, but I've never had my day sack weighed when traveling on easyjet.

I think there's a limit of 25lbs for carry on.

Some UK airports will now allow you to have two carry on's. Easyjet are one of the airlines that don't allow this.

yeah, i remember it being about 10 kilos or 25 lbs, around there. i've flown ryanair and not been dinged for the extra couple kilo's my pack was over. dunno if this happens often, but they let me slide once for sure, maybe more times, don't remember.

Please note that easyJet hand baggage regulations state that passengers are allowed to take onboard one piece of hand baggage. Although restrictions are being relaxed at some UK airports, easyJet will not consider changing its hand baggage policy until the rules and procedures at the majority of UK airports become clearer and more consistent.

Passengers can take one standard piece of hand baggage to a volume limit of 55x40x20cm; no weight restriction applies within reasonable limits — i.e. you must be able to place the piece of luggage safely in the overhead storage bins without assistance.

Its more about the dimensions than the weight ("within reasonable limits"). You should be fine. Good luck :D

Yeah man chuck all the heavy stuff in the hand luggage, that's what I did.

yeah, thats definitely what i did. my hand luggage was heavier than my 80l pack that was a kilo or two over the limit. that bitch was heavy. but i solved the problem shortly after by sending a package home.
