Has anyone ever taken a courier flight to South America?

I'm trying to plan a trip for X-mas (leave from Columbus, Ohio on X-mas day and head to Buenos Aires, Argentina). I would be returning on Jan. 7th.

So far its looking like it will cost around 1200 dollars for a regular flight.......ouch.

any links, help, ideas, stories, or insights would be greatly appreciated.

If you could shift your departure date a bit, you will find the rates may drop. You are looking at flying around one of the top travel days thus the high fare. Also keep an eye out for cheap fares in Nov. As far a courier, good luck. I have no info to offer, but am curious as to what other Tpunks know. Happy Travels

I've found out that most courier services aren't offered much anymore. With express shipping and e-mail there isn't much money in it for companies. I think the few companies that are left mainly fly into Asia and the surrounding areas there. I'll check in my guidebooks for companies later this evening, but I think your best bet would be to look for cheap tickets for the old fashion way. It may be pricey with the holidays right there though.
