Sorry if this is old news, I just found out about it and am quite excited. I've used Megabus many times for great cheap coach travel in the UK, but now they have trains, and fares are as low as £1!! Mainly to and from London, and there's a gap between Birmingham and Manchester, but if it fits your travel plans, check it out! www.megatrain.com
