lol, well... its been a crazy trip, lost my favorite towel in santo domingo spain and lost my girlfriend in prague...

after the prague incident i went on a 3 month spree of country hopping, and somehow ended up in bangkok.

with no money to get back out.

30 day visa running out, have 15 days to find a way to get back, europe or the states, don't really care right now :P

considered being deported, but the pre-deportation jail doesn't sound good at all

any ideas?

You could set up outside Siam square with a sign asking for donations to help you get back home. Of course, there is already another westerner doing that there. Apparently he has been doing it for over a year and making quite a good living! Good luck.

i could also get a job offering pingpong shows, but there's still the visa running out issue, i'd have to make enough cash to hop the border and get back in, at that point i'll be spending all my money on hopping to vietnam and back

The lao visa is cheaper, might as well renew your thai visa there. Did you ask your embassy in Thailand if they could help you out ?

Have you considered doing a little teaching to earn some money? Otherwise, contact your home country embassy - they can usually do an emergency loan for airfare.

Yes, I'd agree with going to the embassy, they deal with that kind of thing a lot and know what your options are...

Do you have a return flight booked from anywhere? Can you hit up someone for the cash to get you there, and the change fee to get your flight back earlier?

bleh, i 'fixed' the issue temporarily, the dirty way... used my emergency credit card... so now i'm flying to spain... decided i'll go ahead and complete the camino de santiago from st. jean pied de port all the way to santiago de compostella, which should take about 35 days and not much money, and then worry about getting back to the sates from somewhere in spain, atleast there will be no pressing visa issues there...

thank you for the embassy suggestion, i had no idea that even existed, i might end up using that after all :P
