Well, the website with accompanying travelogue is still just a seed in my head, but I've finally finished all my "Postcards" from my Australia/New Zeland trip and the last round has been put up into the gallery. Enjoy!

Alright, for some reason I got some sort of bug up my ass and labored all night into turning this whole series into a web site, complete with travelog adapted from my blog. I get paid for work and I slack off all day, yet I'll work my ass off for something free. This travel bug/obsession thing is dangerous
Anyway... Postcards from Down Under: The Web Site
Please note: This sucker is a high-bandwidth site. Broadband definitely recommended!

Thanks guys
Glad ya liked the slide thing. I had to figure out a way to put in "bonus" pictures that weren't on the postcards, but wanted to keep them to scale so it still looked like my desk or whatnot. For some reason, slides came to mind. Even though I haven't converted any of my film to 'em

yeah I really liked it. I have been working on a digital scrapbook and was looking for the some thing (extra pics) so I made them look like poloroids.... but I think I like the slide thing better.... "who want to watch my vacation slide show??"

Very original and cool concept Omisan. Guessing you did it all on PS? Here's a question that I've been wondering about lately, though it's a bit off topic. Have you guys seen those picture frames that will display digital pics and cycle through them? Anybody have any experience with them?

Thanks
Yup - lots and lots and lots of Photoshop, along with CSS and HTML. Fun fun fun. I'm totally geeking out with this stuff lately.
As for digital picture frames, most people who have 'em seem to think they're a waste of time, as far as the cash outlay is concerned for a quality one. The trouble is the ones with good resolution and luminosity tend to cost an arm and a leg. I had a cheap one a long time ago and just regifted it.
Although I do have one project in mind with one of my old laptops - to turn it into a digital picture frame. Considering the VAIO and Powerbook are so outdated and collecting dust, they'd probably be more worthwhile as digital piccy frames than the $5 or so they're probably worth
