So every year, we have this 7.5 mile footrace across the city called Bay to Breakers. It starts off with the serious runners, who run from the east end of the city in downtown to the west end at Ocean Beach, with massive Hayes Street Hill in the middle.
As for the rest of it, it's more like a drunken parade of runners and (mostly) walkers, often in costume, carrying camelbacks of booze or shopping carts full of beer and making for an insane 8am-noon roving party through the city.
Anyway, it's a real slice of San Francisco, and I thought I'd share with you guys my group's shenanigans. Enjoy!
