It's taken me about 3 months to get round to it, but you can find all my pictures along with descriptions here. Hopefully these will inspire more TPunks to travel to this region.
This list is in the order in which I travelled to each country, and if anyone wants a full size (1600x1200) copy of any of them, let me know.

the pictures of budapest made me so "homesick" i cant wait to go back in December. Just in answer to your question about the statue thats outside the houses of parliament, its a representation of the 1848 revolution and the main person leading it is kossuth lajos
I used to do my daily shoping at the indoor market at kalvin ter...
the photos of bosnia and serbia were really inspiring id love to visit that region one day

Great pictures!
Makes me want to go visit those countries. Budapest brought back some memories. I was there 2 years ago, and it was amazing.
Thanks for sharing your trip pictures.

Super, your pictures ! Thanks for sharing them with us. And you know, some of them brought back great memories, Romania, Hungary, the sand of Varna, and the no man's land at the romanian-bulgarian border ! My train was stucked there just long enough to make us miss the transit to Varna. The next train was... 15 hours later, the next morning.

We went for just under a month in total, and the cost was ~Ł1,000 each, but we did eat out a lot and generally spent quite freely. This includes our flights from the UK, insurance and everything.
As for time in countries, it varied quite a lot, we spent 5-6 in Romania, and about the same in Bosnia, while we only spent 3 days in Belgrade in 2 in Croatia, this was mainly due to time constraints though, plus we weren't even planning on going to Croatia, but everyone we met along the way said we should try and squeeze in Dubrovnik so we did.

Niiiiiice...
We have a new intern at work from Serbia. When I told him I want to visit that area, he asked, "Why the hell would anyone want to do that?"
Anyway, this photo scares me:
