Not to throw fuel on the raging beer fire, but if I were to say "Canadian beers are stronger than American beers" I would be referring to a fuller taste -- not alcohol content. But then, I drink beer for its taste -- not necessarily alcohol content. Heck, if that's what I was concerned about, I'd drink "the hard stuff."

Anyway, it would awful difficult to make an argument that our watery, pale Buds, Millers and Coors have a stronger taste than the average Canadian beers. Trust me, I've been drinking beer since I was 18 and legal to buy 3.2% here in Ohio (that low-alcohol beer long since gone)...and that was 24 years ago.

My faves, by the way, are English Ales. In my opinon, Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale is the best beer in the world.

But hey, if you like your Bud Light, more power to you! You're certainly spending less money on beer than I am!

Oh, and MG: I think it was 110 F in Canada because you were wearing that bikini...ow! Hot stuff!!!

Mike, it was a percentage claim that touched me off...and yes, Canadian beers are a little heavier in their taste, though not by too much. Most people compare the Canadian regular beers to American light beers, since light beers are the best selling in the US - and so that is a flawed argument.

Hell, right along with Joker, my favorite beer is a Canadian one (although, ironically, I cannot buy it where I live in Canada, but have been able to buy it everywhere I've lived in the US). I'm just a man who likes to know the facts. Oh, by the way - I found out that 3.2% laws are on weight, not volume. 3.2% by weight is equal to 4.0% by volume, so the 3.2 you drink wasn't as weak as you thought

I'm not saying my favorite beer is XXX. I just thoroughly enjoy myself when I drink it... :D

Favorite still remains Guinness, as it is in my blood.

But I have favorite beers from most beer-producing countries. IE, favorite British beer is Sam Smith's Taddy Porter.

Favorite German is Augustinerbrau.

Favorite Belgian is Chimay.

Favorite American (mass-produced) is Sam Adams. But I drink Miller Lite more times than not simply because its there, its cheap, and its consistent....

Anyway, back to the topic, how about MolsonGirl's Bikini! :D
