It's arguably my favorite time of year: blossoms and new leaves on the trees, people hanging out in parks, the smell of barbeque just starting to become a common scent in the air. Sigh.
It's also the only time of year to go from a lovely beach one day, snowboarding the next and looking at flower blossoms the third. These pictures were taken in that order: Friday, Sunday and today.
Golden Gardens beach, this is IN-CITY in Seattle even though it doesn't look like it...
Alpental, a 45-minute drive from downtown Seattle-- that's Mt. Rainier in the background, this is taken from the top of the Edelweiss Chair ("Warning: Experts Only") ...
This run is called "Adrenaline" for a reason. Trust me when I say it's steeper than it looks-- my camera was pointed STRAIGHT fucking DOWN. On the other hand, isn't the graphic on my board cool?? Har.
And yes, we were wearing these for most of the day. Some of you astute punks will remember these glasses from the meet-up last summer when Ms. Bellelass came to visit.
After beating myself up yesterday, today it was time to make a trek about an hour north of town to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. I love tulips, besides dahlias and peonies they're my favorite flower. I think. Maybe.
That's Mt. Baker in the background...
So, uh, yeah-- I love spring!!

^ Thanks!!! What's really funny though is that last tulips picture is pretty similar to an existing photograph in the Windows XP background selection. Haha.

I absolutely agree.
Beautiful photos Jeanie! It's actually a very lovely spring here in Chicago. The daffodils are beautifully bloomed all over, tulips are coming up, and the leaves on the trees are almost in full bloom.
