On a bike ride on the farm the other day i found this place with the most spectacular views. I was riding through the bush like i do every other day and just stumbled across this place, it's amazing what you can find out here. So, i went home, grabbed the camera and took a couple of pics so i could post them here to show you my back yard.
That's the blue mountains on the horizon of the above 2 photos, they're about 150km from there. They don't call em' the blue mountains for nothing.
This is some random shack that just happened to be out in the middle of the bush, dunno how it got out there or what its there for, but just had to take a photo of it. Oh, and that's my beautiful Yamaha WR250F next to it.
And here's a photo of a mob of roos i was chasing around for 40 minutes trying to get a photo of them. Every time i'd get close enough to get a decent photo, i'd have to stop my bike, get my camera out of my bag, turn it on, focus, and by this time they were well and trully gone. To get this one i had to ride with camera in hand and turned on and started focusing on them before i had even stopped, then i stalled the bike and managed to snap this one before they had run too far away. They're fast buggers, but i got a photo eventually.

yep, that's right up the back of our farm. I've lived here for 10 years and had never seen it before, pretty crazy.

i live about 10km out of Bathurst, which is about 250km from Sydney. It's where Mt Panorama is, dunno if any of u guys know what that is, but it's one of the more famous race tracks in the world, it's a big event in the V8 supercar series.

Or the third shot should be at a skewed angle, looking at the sky...
Great photos, Farm Boy. Fetch me that pail of water, will you?

Wow, those are sooo cool-looking! How are they really "pests," though? Otherwise, I'd love to import some into the US, haha... That terrain looks just like Central TX Hill Country!

He was lucky it was only the camera you shot him with.
Thanks Fatch as if i wasnt missing home already.
awesome pics, thats one thing i have realised since living in london. how beatifull the Australian Country Side is. i miss it.
its one thing i regret is that i didnt see more of Oz b4 coming over here, I can only promote the East coast of Australia and N.S.W cos i havn't seen the rest. people always ask what are the best places to go in Oz.
