I have found for GP pictures I really like my Casio Exilim because of it's compact size, it's an older model, only 2 MP and it's fixed focus, but I've discovered that size does matter.. I always ended up missing shots merely because my camera was too bulky to have with me in a pair of jeans. This one fits in my wallet, has almost immediate shutter response (better in daylight, little slow at night) and takes adequate pictures for snapshots.... I use my 35mm for anything really detailed (pentax K-1000)
But I digress....
