Ok, so I only had to travel 3.5 hours away to get there, but I went camping at Ocean Cove - on California's Sonoma coast - and I thought it was so beautiful, I had to share the pictures. So if anyone's considering doing some travel in California and isn't averse to the outdoors, this is a great place to visit!

wow, gorgeous pics! I love the ocean and that looks like a fantastic place to camp. How far is that from San Fran?

Thanks folks - it was fun!
Ocean Cove is roughly 2.5 hours north of San Francisco, with the closest actual towns being Jenner and Guerneville. (In case you ever want to find it on a map or something.)
Definitely a beautiful area, but I have to say - the spot we picked overlooking the ocean was WINDY-AS-F(*#&$. So if you ever go, take a good, wind-proof jacket. you'll need it!

It's some sort of kelp that dries up rock-solid, almost like bone. And it ends up looking like a big-ass sperm. Eww.
