The Classic Jake Pose
So gals and guys we've talked about it in other threads and it is time to take the plunge! Here is the thread to post all your "Jake" poses!
For those of you who are unaware of what the "Jake pose" consists of all you have to do is look around TP and you can see pictures of Jake's cheesy mug plastered all over. Our lovely Jake is usually in the habit of cheesing up his photos.
Or as our dear Laura put it:

And of course no Jake pose is complete until you throw in the thumbs up sign!
So let's see those mug shots. Let's get the phrase "do a Jake" in circulation!

i did one in the 'what do you look like thread' but thought i'd better re-post it here to get the thread rolling. mine is a rather freaky one which displays the unusual flexibility of my thumb... i dunno a lot of people find that fascinating, i don't even notice i do it!
and I think sarah loses points because she still looks pretty in hers... you gotta abandon all normal photo-taking rules and look ridiculously excited (cause when jake's face isn't screwed up into the 'jake' expression, he's actually devilishly handsome... right??)

Aw, Jake's handsome even when his face is all screwed up, haha.
Anyway, here's my contribution. Please take a moment to admire the hideous curtains I've been provided with in university accommodation.
Oh, and I also have weird, bendy thumbs, but you can't really see it in this pic. I hate that my thumbs poke out at right angles when I try and do a thumbs up!

I hate to be the one to bring this up, but the dude on the package sort of looks like a ninja maybe.

I was undercover infiltrating the ninja regime looking for osama, a war photojournalist covering the ninja side caught me unawares and my amazing photogenic reflexes kicked in. Totally blew my cover.

oh wow we're looking for osama too, we never thought about that method!
didn't mean to blow your cover, just a fellow "team pirate" member trying to play devil's advocate!

Yeah, were lulling him into a false sense of security so we can kill him or turn him in ourselves. But were waiting until Bush is out of office, so his administration can't claim any victory.
BTW, that food totally looks like Jake. Awesome.

Let me give this a shot, I never got the facial expression right but keep in mind these photos were taken before I knew there was a Jake pose.
They were taken before going caving in Budapest, at the snow park in Dubai and before the Pamplona opening ceremony. I'm sure you can work out which is which.
Damn photos won't work but the links are there.

Dammit. I'm really angry at myself for not doing that now. I think I was more worried about my hands not freezing off because I was too cheap to spring for gloves.
