passport question

yeah so I have to get a new passport. I meant to as soon as I got back but my mom had my birth certificate with her and she's express mailing it to me today, as I have just realized my big euro trip is in freaking less than 3 months (holler!!!)

I'm going to go as soon as I get my birth certificate to get the ball rolling but back in the day when I got my first passport when I was likw 14 or something, things didn't take very long. they do now and I am scared I'm not going to get it in time!

my friend Kayla just went to Spain and she applied like 2.5 months before her trip AND put the rush thing on it and STILL didn't have it by the time her trip was so they had to give her some piece of paper and then when she got home her passport was waiting on her (go figure lol).

so I'm kind of worried.

my boss told me there are like 13 official passport facilities that will issue you a passport same day but I have a feeling you'd have to meet certain requirements for that or it would have to be a certain kind of travel.

any suggestions?
