I was talking to some people and they mentioned how it would be a good idea to go ahead and bring about 10 passport like photos so that when I go to some countries that require visas I'll have a photo and make the whole process easier. I don't know if I'll hit any of these countries on my journey let alone all of them but here they are... Russia, India, China, Vietnam.

Any help on this matter would be much appreciated cause I'd rather not deal with the time and more importantly money that it takes to get these.

I know the Russian visa requires that you have a passport photo, so I'd err on the side of caution and have a handful of them, just in case! Also, you can get passport-sized photos at many booths at train stations in many countries, and those are often deemed acceptable for visas, though you may want to look at each country's embassy's web site to see what they require. I know some countries are VERY picky about the size/dimension/quality of passport photos, so some of them will take them for you at the embassy/consulate where you apply - for a fee, of course.

Vietnam will also require a passport photo and visa. Even if you don't bring 10, I would recommend bringing at least a few, say 4 (usually you get two at a time) - then you would be covered for at least a few countries and could get more if/when you start running out.
