Anybody know (or can direct me to the website that can tell me) what the conditions are for an Australian to be eligible to get an Irish passport? ie, if your grandparents were born in Ireland. THanks

Google Art Thou Friend. :D

There's a whole ton of info there regarding citizenship through ancestry.

I'm currently pursuing it as well, but I need to call the Embassy tomorrow and confirm a few things. Otherwise I'll be going after my Italian dual. Helps when traveling mucho...

It used to be kinda lax but they tightened it all up recently because the government didn't like the look of the people coming in looking for citizenship. I think you have to live here for a while and have family with citizenship, I'm not to sure the details, but I know they did clamp down on it. You used to be able to buy one for 10grand.
