I am goıng to be flyıng from Caıro to Bangkok here wıthın the next month or so and Ive found that the cheapest flıghts are through the Abu Dhabı ın the UAE. My questıon ıs do ı need to purchase any kınd of vısa to just have a 7 hour layover? And actually more ımportantly I am plannıng on goıng to Israel and although Ill do my best not to get a stamp (or egypt border entry/exıt stamp) ıt mıght be somethıng I cant prevent. If thıs ıs the case wıll they even let me fly ınto the UAE sınce they dont recognıze Israel. I am plannıng on buyıng thıs tıcket here pretty soon so the prıce doesnt sky rocket so ıf anyone has any experıence wıth layover vısa ınfo that would be great

If it's an actual connecting flight on the same airline where you don't have to go through customs you should be fine. However, if it's a second flight requiring your to collect your bags and then check-in again, you may have problems.

Are you a US citizen? I believe it's probably the same for Canadians as well.

Here's the official word from the (US) travel.state.gov website.

Quote:
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - *Passport required. Visa and fee not required for stay of up to 30 days. For longer stays, visa requires 2 application forms, original signed passport (with minimum validity of 6 months), 2 passport-sized photos, letter of employment or proof of sufficient funds, and $51 fee. Visa valid for up to 10 years, for maximum stay of 6 months per entry.[/b]
In other words, you should be fine.
