With the dollar getting its ass kicked by the Euro and inflation and all those other fun economic topics we Americans love, I have some questions about my backpacking Europe budget.
I am planning on a two month trip to Western Europe with this loose itinerary:
Fly into London (2 days) (Mid May)
Paris (4-5 days)
Barcelona (2-3)
Nice (1)
Monte Carlo (1-2)
Italy (at least two weeks for multiple cities)
Greece (gonna make a judgement call when the time comes to see how much time i have left)
Switz (2-3)
Amsterdam (2-3)
Ireland, Scotland, and back to London with remaining time (Mid July)
Like I said this is a rough sketch, I know it will change, but that is the general direction I am headed. So finally, my questions......
1) Is this a decent first timers itinerary to see the good stuff and a basic overall experience of Europe?
2) Is 4000 US enough money to cover hostels, museums, food, attractions, maybe some sky diving or skiing adventures, and other things like that.
I have already purchased my airline ticket and rail pass, so the 4000 US is for my actual travel expenses excluding those
Any answers or anything else you would all reccoment is greatly appreciated!!
