I have formed somewhat of a weekly cheap lunch schedule. Meaning that I got to certain places on certain days to buy lunch. For example I go to Subway on Thursdays because they have footlong sandwiches for $3.50! I go to Church's Chicken on Tuesdays because I can get 2 pieces of dark meat chicken and a biscuit for 99 cents! I also do Wendy's because of their extensive 99 cents menu which is everday as well as the rare mcdonalds dollar menu (maybe once a month or less). There are others as well... This is one of the ways I save time and money since most of the deals cost just as much or more to make at home. It also gets me out of the office.
Anyone else do this?

Nah, I hate eating fast food that much... I'd rather spend more money and have better quality (read: not unhealthy) food. Granted, Subway isn't really *that* bad, but still. That's just my philosophy... you get what you pay for.

Saving money by eating at Church's? Wendy's?
You're gonna have enough leftover cash for a spiffy Armani suit after a few months... hopefully they can tailor it in XXXL for the funeral

thanks guys.
FYI on Wendy's: 1 small chili, 1 potato, and 1 side salad: 5 grams of fat total.
Subway is fine too. Granted Church's is not the best I do take the batter/skin off. That does help a lot.
So I take that as a no on the "schedule"...

haha Foo...you sound like me during my first few years in college. i know the 99 cent menus to every single fast food within 500 miles of where i live. you forgot jack in the box, 2 tacos for 99 cents..it's the best.
i don't eat like that anymore though...it's so bad for you, with the exception of the side salad and the baked potato, which anyone could easily make at home for 1/2 the price. if i'm going to put poison in my body, i better get high off of it. jk
i bring my lunch to work now...salad w/ tuna or baked chicken. mmmm....

I try to stay away from the fast food as well, with the exception of Subway. I eat there about 3-4 times a week. They have a $2.49 sub every day so those are always good. (The under 6 grams of fat ones at least)
Other than that I try to buy food at the grocery store because it usually ends up to be cheaper and healthier. Lean Cuisines are only about $2 and actually taste pretty good.
