So I am leaving on May 14 to backpack all over Europe for 140 days. I have everything purchased (Airfare, Camera, Backpack and accessories) and have $14,000 in spending money, which means $100/ day. I am going to be staying in hostels and eating food purchased from grocery stores and markets with the occasional eating out to check out the local cuisine. Do you think this will be enough when calculating in my daily costs plus the necessary purchases required over such a long trip (additional shoes, train reservations, toiletries)? I like to drink and will probably be doing a lot of it, but I am fairly smart when it comes pre-funking and not spending a lot in the bars. I just want to know if I am worrying over nothing, or if I need to start selling things on ebay. Thanks for the advice. Ryan.

Seriously man...that $100 a day will give you a very nice time even in big cities like London and Paris if you're hostelling and eating grocery-store meals...
In Eastern Europe? You are gonna live like a king.
I got so drunk in Tallinn that I missed my flight the next day...litre bottles of Carlsberg beer for less than the equivalent of 1 euro were like a gift from above

I agree with Xanthous. Nicely done dude!
Uninspired, don't worry. We've all (well, mostly all) done it on a lot less!
